Festive Prosecco Cocktail Recipes for Holiday Parties

Enjoy the holidays with your favorite person by sharing a few flavorful and inventive prosecco cocktails. These festive recipes—caramel apple Bellinis and boozy eggnog egg creams—use VOVETI prosecco for bright bubbles and holiday cheer. They’re simple to prepare and perfect for a cozy night in or a small holiday gathering.

The holidays are the perfect time to hang out with your guy and enjoy a few prosecco cocktails.

I love creating seasonal drinks, and after sharing recipes for mulled apple cider and an apple cider hot toddy, it felt right to expand beyond mimosas for holiday entertaining. I teamed up with chef and budding mixologist Ben to develop two cocktails featuring VOVETI prosecco. Both cocktails balance bright carbonation with warm holiday flavors, making them excellent choices for a festive happy hour at home.

Caramel Apple Bellini

The first is a caramel apple Bellini. It highlights apple cider and caramel for a comforting autumn-winter profile. Because the apple-cider base is heated and then chilled, I recommend making it ahead of time—ideally the night before—so it’s fully cooled when you mix the cocktails. The result is a smooth, slightly spiced apple mixture that pairs beautifully with prosecco.

There is nothing like a caramel apple bellini to serve for the holidays

For the glass rim, Ben and I like different options. He enjoys crushed candy canes for a playful winter twist that contrasts the caramel, while I prefer a graham cracker rim, which gives the drink a pie-like finish. Both rims are worth trying—choose whichever matches your party’s vibe.

The second cocktail is a boozy eggnog egg cream. Though a classic egg cream contains neither egg nor cream, this variation uses eggnog to bring the creamy, custardy holiday flavors forward. We used a store-bought eggnog for convenience, but homemade eggnog works just as well. I boosted the spices with a touch of nutmeg and cinnamon so the drink tastes distinctly seasonal. A molasses rim dipped in turbinado sugar adds texture and a rich finish.

VOVETI prosecco brings the carbonation essential to an egg cream, while contributing a clean, bright flavor that balances the eggnog’s richness. We appreciate VOVETI as a high-quality yet affordable prosecco, which makes it easy to enjoy a few bottles without worrying about cost—handy when friends are over and you want both cocktails available.

Serves: 6 servings
Ingredients
  • 2 cups apple cider
  • 1 stick cinnamon
  • 3 tablespoons caramel, plus more for garnish
  • 3 cups VOVETI prosecco
  • 1 candy cane, crushed (optional)
  • 2 graham crackers, crushed (optional)
Instructions
  1. In a saucepan, combine the apple cider, cinnamon stick, and caramel. Stir constantly and bring to a simmer for about 4 minutes.
  2. Remove and discard the cinnamon stick, pour the cider mixture into a container, cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until fully chilled—preferably overnight. To cool faster, seal the mixture in a gallon bag and place it in an ice bath for about an hour, replenishing ice as needed.
  3. Spread a little caramel on a small plate and place crushed candy cane or graham cracker on another plate. Dip the rim of each glass into the caramel, then into the crushed candy cane or graham cracker.
  4. Pour 2 oz of the chilled apple cider mixture into a champagne flute and top with 4 oz VOVETI prosecco. Repeat for remaining servings and serve immediately.
